Reflections - One Year Later...
The last year has been difficult for all of us on many levels. It's been an emotional year as everyone continues to put their lives back together after the bridge collapse. Thanks to your generous donations of time, money and blood, your Twin Cities Red Cross is able to respond to any disaster with the comfort and care that people need. The 35W Bridge disaster was a huge tragedy. But there is no such thing as a small disaster in the eyes of the victims.

 

Right now, as you read this, there is a new cocoon taking shape in our tomorrow. It may be another yellow bus, or a disaster shelter, or maybe a basement in a storm... maybe yours. But we all know it is coming. How we respond to the disaster... how we work to ensure that the cocoon holds the promise of recovery and hope... all depends on you and the trust you have in us.
